For instance, if you don't have a passport yet but still want to enjoy the splendors of the Caribbean, you may decide to travel to the U.S. Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico. Perhaps you just want to spend your vacation at a big resort, and sitting on the beach with an umbrella drink in the Dominican Republic. You can always take a cruise so you can get a taste of multiple ports of call and activities on board while out to sea. Or maybe your idea of a Caribbean vacation is to snorkel and dive the incredible reefs of Bonaire or Curacao.
The point is, the Caribbean has something for everyone no matter what your idea of the perfect vacation is whether it's beach activities, water sports, sightseeing, diving, hiking, cruising or just relaxing. Decide what you want out of your vacation first before doing your research. Once you have decided, take advantage of online travel forums and speak with experienced travelers and travel agents to determine your destination.
